J. Salvador

J. Salvador

Hailing from a flat land of desert and wind, not unlike Tattooine, J. yearned for a bigger life, a bigger world, and to refine his skills with the force… of ART! His artistic talents have led him to pursue projects in writing, illlustrating, sculpting, painting, and animating. J. started PixelDrip after earlier success organizing live artwork at the UGTL. It quickly grew into a collective of talented artists whose goal is to create more artwork that not only showcases their skills and influences, but also celebrate the ever growing community that views it.

Mark Batalla

Mark Batalla

Raised on a steady diet of comics and cartoons, Mark now regurgitates that accumulated knowledge when creating his own artwork. Like a predator, Mark is constantly on the prowl for new visual stimuli to consume and add to his encyclopedic collection. His experience in print and graphic design has given him an added love for inked line art and negative space. As one of the organizers of PixelDrip, you’ll rarely find Mark sitting idle. There’s always an illustration to draw, a column to write, an event to book, an artist to talk to, or a project to schedule.

Simon Estrada

Simon Estrada

Simon is an artist in a continuous state of learning and work. Whether he’s using a pencil, a brush, a piece of chalk, or a Wacom pen, there isn’t a medium that Simon isn’t capable of excelling at. The tools are interchangeable, as Simon’s art style effortlessly pulls the audience into the often psychedelic and nightmarish world of his imagination. The ease and speed at which Simon creates his artwork is matched by his work ethic. The moment that he finishes one assignment, he’ll work on another until completion, then another. His mere involvement on a project assures its quality.

Celina Armenta

Celina Armenta

Celina is a huge fan of do-it-yourself zines and self-publishing. She sticks mostly to pen and paper due to a love of line work but she’s more than capable of creating eye-catching paintings. She enjoys poking fun in her work and finding new ways to shock and surprise the audience. Unsurprisingly, Celina tends to focus on themes like religion, feminism, and technology in her work. You’ll often find her tackling these issues in between a relaxing meal of chips, guacamole and a Corona. Don’t take things too seriously with her, because she really doesn’t give a damn.

JNGL

JNGL

JNGL’s incredibly vivid designs can be spotted a mile away. That’s just as well because they also serve as a trail that follows JNGL as he travels across the country to find more inspiration for his work. He’s gone from coast to coast, taking part in exhibition galleries and meeting many talented artists along the way. Traveling is very much a necessity due to JNGL’s inhuman productivity when it comes to creating artwork. He can only stay at a single location for so long before the limited space is no longer capable of containing the amount of pieces that JNGL creates within a short amount of time.

Alex Inigo

Alex Inigo

Alex is the author of Xanny’s Curse, a currently defunct webcomic inspired by his exposure to Rumiko Takahashi’s Ranma 1/2. His interests include videogames, anime, movies, anything Disney, going to theme parks, surrealism, French interior decor, dining, music, gender ambiguity and identity, and traveling. In addition to all these, he has worked for several online videogame websites as a contributing editor under an alias which he refuses to reveal. He’s quirky, off-kilter, androgynous, and quite possible one of the most interesting people we’ve ever gotten a chance to work with!

Dormilón

Dormilón

Dormilón is Alfredo Barraza, a Mexican-American Chicago-born audio artist currently residing in Los Angeles’s very own Koreatown. Specializing in electronic music ranging from organic and surreal to driving and robotic, Dormilón creates music with a heavy videogame influence. Dormilón’s body of work spans from live p.a. dance sets to downtempo audio collages to composition for visual media. The majority of his work is produced and performed using Ableton Live, Korg DS-10, and audiotool.com.

Ted Polak

Ted Polak

Ted is quite possibly one of the most opinionated gamers you’ll ever meet. When it comes to fighting games like Street Fighter, he can talk your ear off about joystick technique, frame data, and balancing issues. Ted will then follow that up by going off on a tangent about some of the more ridiculous aspects of the videogame industry, anime/manga, and pro wrestling. When he isn’t ranting and raving, you’ll find Ted channeling the same amount of passion at sharpening his skills in order to become a formidable individual in the fighting game tournament scene.

Diego Paz

Diego Paz

Diego is an avid student of anatomy. His digital musclebound illustrations are just bursting with power. Diego takes the time to render as many details as possible to convey realistic dimensions and textures in his artwork. He continues to learn by studying the techniques of a wide range of artists like Frank Frazetta, Jim Lee, Brandon Peterson, and pretty much any artwork he can get his hands on. As a result, Diego’s become a voracious collector of any art book or comic that catches his eye. At this point, he’s probably got enough material to open his own book store.

Sasha Palacio

Sasha Palacio

Sasha specializes in digitally painted pin up art. The curves, poses, and facial expressions that Sasha chooses for her illustrations allows them to straddle that line of being sexy without being dirty. She’ll use her digital tools to the fullest extent by incorporating eye-catching color schemes along with subtle touches like watermarks that further complement the theme of the piece. Sasha is as passionate about gaming as she is about her art. When she’s not creating seductive artwork, you’ll find Sasha buried under a pile of PlayStation 3 games.
