Six Seasons and a Movie art show Sunday Programming

Read on for Day 2!

Much like Saturday, the doors open at 11am. We’ll be giving freebies to the first batch of people in line until we run out of these items. You can then go inside and check out artwork by over 130 artists from around the world. Make sure to keep track of the Greendale logos. They can help guide you towards tiny bits of useful information about each piece. And if you still need additional assistance, just look for any of the PixelDrip staff standing nearby.

And there’s still more to enjoy once you’ve seen all the artwork. Check out the Puppy Parade in the middle of the afternoon courtesy of Annie Wilkes. Watch a sneak preview or even get interviewed for the Six Seasons and a Movie documentary that is currently in the process of filming throughout summer 2012. Enjoy some music provided by Dormilon and Christian Tincher. Challenge someone at the character guessing board game provided by Lusy DeCoursey. Head over to the video game kiosks and play short demos of two different games. One is a choose your own adventure game that gives you the experience of taking classes at Greendale Community College. The other is an old school platformer that will take you on a journey to the center of, well, you’ll have to see it for yourself.

Did you miss out on buying certain art pieces on Saturday? We’ll have more prints in stock. We even reserved some art pieces as prizes that can be won throughout the day.

This all leads up to…

The Greendale Trivia Challenge
3rd Place Prize: free art print for each team member
2nd Place Prize: free art print and gift card to eat fresh for each team member
1st Place Prize: free art print and the Air Vent Stash for each team member. Also, one member gets TBD
Rules: You already know the rules… because there aren’t any!

Just kidding. Of course there are rules. You can compete alone, but you’ll have a much better chance running in packs. Participants will gather in teams of no more than seven individuals. Each team will then select a humorous or ironic name to represent them and register at the PixelDrip table. This is not a rule, but more of an assumption.

At 4pm, the contest will begin. It will consist of five rounds comprised of five questions per round. Scores are tallied after each round, with the winning team being the one with the most points at the end of round five. In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker question will be administered until one team emerges the victor. There should be no use of cell phones during this competition. This game is meant to be fun, and cheating is a fun vampire. Individuals who are spotted using cell phones will have “Britta’d” the competition for their team and will be sent to the Infinite Labyrinth of Eternal Ice, or disqualified.

Each member of the winning team will be awarded with the Air Vent Stash. This means that in September, they will receive a Six Seasons and a Movie desktop wallpaper featuring artwork by one of the participating artists, cootie catcher, digital copy of the Six Seasons and a Movie documentary, digital copy of the Six Seasons and a Movie game, DVD (NTSC) copy of the Six Seasons and a Movie documentary, a disc copy of the Six Seasons and a Movie game, and your name in the Special Thanks section of the documentary, sexy pin-up art print by Sasha Palacio, tabletop roleplaying game campaign, set of Super Emo prints by J. Salvador, and a purple pen.

But hold on a minute. What was all this talk about TBD? If you notice the picture above at the top of the post, you’ll see the “Dan Harmon IS Community” painting by Sam Spratt. This is a VERY limited piece and throughout the weekend, a 24 inch by 36 inch print will be signed by the attending artists and Community cast and crew. ONE person from the winning team will get to take it home. And the way to determine that individual is to have the team turn on each other for one final round of trivia. Best score wins the print.

At 6pm, we’ll wrap things up at the Six Seasons and a Movie art show! We hope you enjoy the experience! Admission is free to the public. In addition to markets, restaurants, and supply stores in the immediate area, there will be a food truck parked just outside the venue during exhibit hours. Monk Space is located at 4414 West 2nd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90004. And in case you missed it, here is Saturday’s programming. If you have any further questions about the event, feel free to contact Mark at pixeldripgallery@gmail.com. And make sure to RSVP on the Facebook event page.
