I’m a huge Dead Rising fan, along with most zombie-related media. When I first saw these ads for Capcom’s community (Capcom-Unity) event this coming Friday, I honestly thought there was a thing as “Greene’s Hardware.” Then I remembered that the protagonist of Dead Rising: Case Zero and Dead Rising 2 is named Chuck Greene. Regardless, Capcom’s really stepped up these past two years with the way that they promote their titles to the public. Before Dead Rising 2, they’ve also hosted events across the country for Mega Man and Street Fighter.

Even if the event isn’t going to be held at an actual hardware store, I’ll be making sure to attend. Capcom promises a full on party with prizes, food, music, contests, and the latest playable build of Dead Rising 2. Attendees will also receive “Chuck’s Hardware” shirts created by i am 8-bit. The event will be at 2146 West Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles from 8 pm until midnight. See you there!
